Reading this amazing book... just can't stop until I finish it. They say it is like "The Sound and the Fury", like "The Cather in the Rye" - I'd say it's rather like "Slaughterhouse #5".

The Red Cross usually does not accept in-kind donations because of the cost associated with distributing them. “But Girl Scout cookies are special,” said Kay Walton senior director for Red Cross Armed Forces Emergency Services field operations. “They represent home."
The cookies ended up traveling to U.S. bases in Bosnia, Kosovo, Uzbekistan and Kuwait, the places where Red Cross staff are stationed and could hand them out.
The American Red Cross is not a government agency. We rely on the assistance of caring supporters like you to deliver our critical services. You can support U.S. military members and their families through the American Red Cross as we provide assistance and comfort. Jan. 23rd, 2007 10:14 pmхороший поэт, но как человек он что-то вроде Куздры. С тем различием, правда, что Куздра, когда говорит о том, что знает, так он говорит по делу, и содержательно. А Кормильцев поэт, и его слова необязательны.
Теперь, что касается пресловутого определения русских. Кормильцева не спрашивают. И Москву не спрашивают.И пристегивать к этому всякие там ужастики тоже не надо, пожалуйста. Это не ругательное слово, это хорошее слово. А что всякой дряни хватает - так это не потому, что русские, а просто так исторически сложилось. Это пройдет.
